All Signal. Zero Noise.

THE SIGNAL

Thursday was a rotation, not a rout. Of the 41 names we track, 14 rose, 26 fell and one was flat. The S&P 500 lost 0.47%, per Zacks. The damage was concentrated where Tuesday’s euphoria was thickest. Vistra fell 6.35% and Constellation 4.85%, handing back a slice of the nuclear-contract spike. Uranium (URA) fell 3.43%.

The single most important tell: capital did not leave the market, it changed address. Energy (XLE) rose 2.97% on 51.3M shares, and Occidental closed at its $60.30 high. Defense and gold rose together. When oil, defense and gold all bid while semiconductors sell, the tape is paying for hard assets and paying less for growth.

The counterweight: AI hardware was sold across the board. Micron fell 4.79%, Broadcom 4.35%, AMD 3.90% and Nvidia 2.94% on 118.7M shares. That is not one stock’s problem. It is a group repricing.

TODAY’S TOP CALLS

VST $156.14 (-6.35%) — The biggest drop in the power complex, and it underperformed a market that lost 0.47%. Zacks flagged downward EPS estimate revisions and a Rank #4 (Sell). The Google-Constellation deal lifted the group; the follow-through is fading.

XLE $65.24 (+2.97%) — Oil majors Occidental (+3.56%), Chevron (+3.12%) and Exxon (+2.71%) all rose. We found no single company catalyst in the news flow; this is a sector bid on heavy volume.

MU $1,035.84 (-4.79%) — The memory bellwether closed near its day low on 29.9M shares. Semis led the downside, and Micron led semis.
