The Ultimate Claude Code Guide to ship like Anthropic engineers
AI will write 90% of code by the end of 2026, and only 10% of developers will stay relevant.
The engineers in that 10% aren't smarter. They just know how to use AI.
We put together the exact playbook Anthropic engineers use to make sure you're in the top 10%.

THE SIGNAL
Friday was not a rotation. It was a liquidation of the AI complex, and almost nothing escaped it. QQQ $690.49 (-3.47%) fell much harder than SPY $755.72 (-1.77%), and the damage started at the top of the semiconductor stack: AMD $504.80 (-10.88%) led the drop on 39.7 million shares, with ASML $1,565.90 (-6.55%) and TSM $406.13 (-5.95%) close behind. Per reporting, the trigger was Intel's weak outlook, which landed on a group already sore from Alphabet's slide the day before.
The single most important tell is breadth. Nine of the ten sectors closed lower. The only sector bid was Oil & Gas, where XOM $187.25 (+2.16%) and CVX $235.52 (+1.75%) rose after both reported third-quarter beats, per reporting. When the only money that moves is money into crude producers with fresh earnings, the market is not choosing a new leader. It is raising cash.
Speculative growth took the worst of it. LUNR $10.67 (-8.65%), RDW $8.39 (-8.41%) and QBTS $10.65 (-7.87%) fell harder than the chips, and IWM $279.33 (-1.65%) shows the selling was not confined to mega-caps. This week AMD reports, per reporting, and its numbers now carry the whole group.
TODAY’S TOP CALLS
AMD $504.80 (-10.88%) — the leader of the year became the loudest seller on Friday, and its own report this week is the first real test of whether the AI demand story still holds a bid.
XLE $70.02 (+1.91%) — energy was the only sector that worked, and it worked on earnings, not on a broad bid for safety.
VRT $232.50 (-5.46%) — the builders finally followed the chips down; the question for this week is whether the grid and data-center trade holds its floor without the semis.
ON THE WATCHLIST
AMD, NVDA, ASML, VRT, GEV, XOM, CVX, PLTR, RTX, RKLB, RDW
