Blu Dot surpasses 2,000% ROAS with self-serve CTV ads

Home furniture brand Blu Dot blew up on CTV with help from Roku Ads Manager. Here’s how:

After a test campaign reached 211,000 households and achieved 1,010% ROAS, the brand went all in to promote its annual sales event. It removed age and income constraints to expand reach and shifted budget to custom audiences and retargeting, where intent was strongest.

The results speak for themselves. As Blu Dot increased their investment by 10x, ROAS jumped to 2,308% and more page-view conversions surpassed 50,000.

“For CTV campaigns, Roku has been a top performer,” said Claire Folkestad, Paid Media Strategist, Blu Dot. “Comping to our other platforms, we have seen really strong ROAS… and highly efficient CPMs, lower than any other CTV partner we've worked with.”

Using Roku Ads Manager, the campaign moved from a pilot to a permanent performance engine for the brand.

THE SIGNAL

The tape on Thursday rewarded things that make heat and electrons. Energy and power infrastructure led the board. Occidental, GE Vernova and Quanta all gained 3% or more, and the XLE added 1.95%. Meanwhile the speculative edge of growth, space, drones and digital health, drifted lower almost across the board.

The single most important tell: Micron. It swung from a $1,022.90 low to a $1,098.90 high and closed at $1,097.39, essentially on the high, on 45.7M shares. That is not a bounce. That is buyers absorbing every dip into the close. Zacks credits a recent blowout quarter and long-dated customer commitments.

The counterweight: Broadcom fell 2.15% while Nvidia rose 1.09%. AI hardware is not one trade anymore. Memory and power are being paid. Custom silicon is being questioned. Know which one you own.

TODAY’S TOP CALLS

OXY $57.84 (+4.56%) — The sector’s biggest mover, on a clean gap above $55 and 11.8M shares. We found no company-specific catalyst in the news flow; the move tracks a broad energy bid, with XLE up 1.95%.

GEV $987.45 (+3.89%) — Evercore reiterated Outperform, nudged 2027-28 EPS estimates up 3-4%, and kept a $1,350 target, pointing to a roughly $200B backlog expected next year on AI data-center power demand.

MU $1,097.39 (+3.03%) — A closing-high finish after a wide intraday range. Memory remains the strongest expression of the AI build in this tape.
