This isn’t a one-stock story — it’s a repricing of the entire memory supply chain around AI data-center demand, and it dragged the Nasdaq up 1.29% on the day.

AMD added its own catalyst: a 7.91% jump on an expanded Microsoft partnership to deploy “Helios” rack-scale systems on Azure for AI inference — a direct shot at Nvidia’s inference-market share. Between Micron’s pricing shock and AMD’s cloud win, the AI trade found two new legs on the same day, and the tape rewarded both immediately.

The tell to watch: this rally is broad but not uniform. Quantum computing ripped higher across the board — Rigetti +7.23%, QBTS +6.46%, IonQ +3.71% — at the same time a report surfaced that insiders across IonQ, Rigetti, and D-Wave have collectively sold nearly $988M in stock over five years with minimal buying back. Price and insider conviction are pointing in different directions in one of this rally’s hottest corners.

MU $970.82 (+12.17%) — Morgan Stanley’s DRAM/NAND price call plus a blowout print turned Micron into the session’s single biggest mover, and it pulled the rest of memory with it.

AMD $544.43 (+8.11%) — The Azure Helios expansion is AMD’s clearest inference-market land grab yet, and the market priced it as a genuine share shift, not just a headline.

ASTS $63.34 (+10.31%) — AST SpaceMobile continued its outsized run as growth estimates through 2028 keep getting marked up relative to the rest of the satellite-comms field.
